What happens in the discovery phase?
We spend time with the people who do the work, map the current process, and agree what a better one looks like. Discovery gives you a clear picture of scope, priorities, risks and cost before any building starts, and it is a useful piece of work in its own right even if you decide not to go ahead.
How involved do we need to be?
More at the start and less as the project progresses. Discovery and design need input from the people who know the process. During development we ask for regular, short review sessions so you can see working software and steer it. You will never be asked to sign off something you have not seen in action.
How do you keep the project on time and on budget?
By agreeing scope and priorities up front, building in stages, and showing you working software early and often. If anything changes, you hear about it straight away with options, not after the fact. Clear, plain-English communication throughout is a core part of how we work.
Will our team need training?
We design systems to be clear enough that most people can use them with minimal instruction, and we provide training and handover material as part of delivery. Because your team has been involved in reviews along the way, the system rarely comes as a surprise.
Do you work with businesses outside Cambridge?
Yes. We are based in Cambridge and work with businesses across the United Kingdom. Discovery sessions can be run on site or remotely, and the rest of the project works well either way.
What if our needs change after launch?
That is expected, and it is why we stay involved after launch. Systems we build are designed to be extended, so new users, locations and workflows are additions rather than a rebuild. Ongoing support covers both keeping things running and making improvements.
